That is a loaded question and the answer really depends on your situation. As moderator of this site, I am surprised that no one has jumped in here with his or her opinion yet. We sell about an equal number of both types of cabinets. The wood cabinets have a warm natural feel that hint of a sophisticated luxurious lifestyle. The resin cabinets are more mainstream and emphasis practicality and function. The wood cabinets can be loaded to 300 lbs each although the 24 inch depth is not recommended for wall mount. They also come backless although optional backs are available. Clean as you would any other wooden furniture. The resin cabinets can be loaded from 88 to 340 lbs depending on size and model. They come with backs and are easily cleaned with soap and water (or just hose them off if mounted on storeWALL panels). They are good for garage environments because they will not rot, rust, mildew or be otherwise affected by humidity and temperature. Models without a steel support bar inside the shelf units may start to sag over time if overloaded with heavy items. Installation time is about the same for both types with wood cabinets taking just a bit longer to install. So it all really boils down to what look and feel you want to achieve after taking in the factors above. Anybody else with a different point of view or more comments please feel free to post them here!
